Seiji Shimizu (Tour organizer)
Hi, I’m Seiji, the organizer of this tour.
I was born in Toyama Prefecture and came to Tokyo by myself at the age of 18. I’ve been in Shinjuku since 2007 and now own several small businesses here.
Since becoming free, I’ve been exploring every corner of Shinjuku on my bicycle. Through this, I’ve discovered the geographical, historical, and cultural charms of Shinjuku that you wouldn’t notice just commuting between work and home. It’s been a refreshing surprise. Indeed! Even Shinjuku’s salarymen don’t really know what Shinjuku and its surrounding neighborhoods are like. I think this applies to tourists who only move between the airport, hotel, and tourist spots by bus as well.
That’s why I’ve designed a tour route to thoroughly enjoy Shinjuku (an area where Tokyo’s captivating scenery is condensed). Charming local guides will support your exploration.
